The Harish-Chandra Research Institute (HRI) is an institution dedicated to research in mathematics, and in theoretical physics. It is located in Allahabad, India, and is funded by the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India.

  • The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee presented the prestigious civilian award Padma Bhushan to distinguished scientist Professor Ashoke Sen of Harish-Chandra Research Institute, Allahabad at an investiture ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi on Friday, 5th April 2013.
