Research Summary:
My research interest during the past one year has been mainly focussed
on the application of Bosonization Techniques and Luttinger Liquid
Theory to 1D Quantum Wires and Quantum Dots that are formed in both
Heterostructure and Carbon Nanotubes. We have computed the Conductance
of an assembly of Quantum wires and Dots with different coupled
geometries (both in strong and weak coupling limits), which
show interesting resonance features. We have studied the behaviour
of conductance for both tunnel-coupled and capacitively-coupled
quantum wires and dots.
We have also been looking at Coulomb Blockade Quantum Dots in
the Kondo Regime.
Recently, we have also been working on Quantum Charge Pumping
through tunneled coupled Quantum Dots and Quantum Rings.
