However, for someone not having much time to get indulged into such details, followings are some relevant and trimmed down informations (mostly academic) about myself in brief.

My name is Tapas Kumar Das, and I was born (1970) in Calcutta, West-Bengal, India. At present I am an Associate Professor at Theoretical Physics Division of Harish Chandra Research Institute, working in the field of Relativistic and High Energy Astrophysics, Analogue Gravity Phenomena and Application of Dynamical Systems Methods in Astrophysical Fluid Flows. Before joining at HRI, I was at University of California, Los Angeles, USA; N. Copernicus Astronomical Institute, Warsaw, Poland; Racah Institute of Physics, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel; and Inter University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), India; as post doctoral fellow. Since my Ph.D. days, I visited various research institutes and Universities in USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Austria, France, Poland, Czech Republic, Spain, Russia, Israel, Taiwan, Thailand and Bangladesh to present seminars/invited lectures etc., further details are described in my research and vitae page.

I did my Ph.D. from S. N. Bose National centre for Basic Sciences, Calcutta, India, MS in Physics from University of Calcutta, and BS in Physics Honours (Major) from St. Xaviers' College, (under University of Calcutta) Calcutta.
