Over the years, my broad research interest had been in the field of Relativistic and High Energy Astrophysics (theory). I am involved mostly in analytical works.

Off late, I got into the field of analogue gravity phenomena, the dynamical systems approach of astrophysical systems and related stability analysis and the onset of chaos. .

For last couple of years, I have been working on (mainly) the topics listed below.

• Emergent gravity phenomena for classical and quantum fluids. Study of the corresponding acoustic geometry, the phonon quantization and analogue Hawking radiation.
• General Relativistic and post-Newtonian formalism of black hole accretion, accretion processes on compact astrophysical objects in general.
• Formation and dynamics of Astrophysical Jets from AGNs, QSOs and Galactic Microquasars.
• Quasi-Periodic Oscillation of Black Holes and Neutron Stars.
• Astrophysics of our Galactic centre.
• Active Galactic Nuclei.
• Stability properties of the astrophysical fluid under strong gravity through the linearized and non linear perturbation analysis.
• Chaos in strong gravity fields.

I mainly used to work alone (except only one joint paper with my thesis supervisor) or only with my project students in the early years of my research career. However, lately I have started collaborating with various persons, and would like to extend my collaboration network, along with continuing my own independent projects.
