The application should be mailed to the math PDF Committee, indicating the date on which the first year term expires. Application should contain an updated CV, with list of publications & preprints, highlighting the work done in the first year tenure, and a brief report of the work done at the first year tenure at HRI. The application for extension should reach the math PDF committee one month before the end of the tenure. A PDF extension talk will be fixed after this.

The application for extension beyond second year will be considered along with the fresh applications in the June/November sessions. So the application should reach the math PDF Committee, by the relevant deadline. The candidate should also give a talk, based on the work done at HRI during the two year PDF tenure at HRI, by the above deadline.

Documents required:-

1. A covering letter mentioning the date on which the second year term expires.
2. Current CV with updated list of publications & preprints, highlight the publications and preprints of work done at HRI.
3. A report of the work done in the two year tenure at HRI and a proposed research plan for the period of extension requested by the candidate.
4. Two recommendation letters, focusing on the preceding two years' research work of the applicant, must reach the committee by the relevant deadline. Recommendation of applicant's mentor at HRI, if any, is necessary.
