Badminton
One of the most popular activity in HRI. Badminton is played almost every day on the community hall's dedicated indoor badminton court. Every spring, an annual tournament event takes place.
Cricket
HRI oval ground holds cricket matches, the most exciting one is the Republic Day match between Registrar (11) vs. Director (11). Annual (short) Cricket tournament in late winter is very popular. Faculty vs. Student episodes are a recent addition. Though the casual games are not often played.
Football
Football is the most popular outdoor sports activity in HRI. People play passionately throughout the year. Every year, a football tournament kicks in early summer. The annual sports day also includes a Faculty vs. Student contest.
Movie Screening Club
The club organizes movie screenings on a regular basis. Here are some recent movies that were screened. You may also leave a suggestion.
HRIJOYS
HRIJOYS is the annual cultural program. From the kids on campus to the gray haired professor, this is the occasion to show that they can sing, dance, recite and even act. All this reaches its zenith on the night of the show, when the community dressed in finery, witnesses the talent among its own that go beyond mere academics.

Ultimate Frisbee/FRIZ-BEE
As we know in the postmodern world, this sport is gaining popularity everywhere, including at our institute. It is a mixed-gender outdoor sport, and stresses the importance of discussion and non-violent conflict resolution. Ultimate Frisbee is a no-contact sport, meaning physical contact should always be avoided unless there is an accident.
Volleyball
A volleyball facility is located at the one end of the HRI oval ground. Evening games are catching on among enthusiasts. There is also a designated WhatsApp group.
Spic Macay
The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Among Youth (SPIC MACAY) is almost half a century year-old organisation that promotes Indian classical music, classical dance, folk music, yoga, meditation, crafts, and other aspects of Indian culture in schools and colleges. The SPIC MACAY-HRI chapter hosts annual events, including this year's sitar recital by Professor Pt. Sahitya Kumar Nayar on May 16 at our auditorium. Children Activities
On the level of everyday nonsense and ordinary absurdity, it seems children are the only serenity. There is a functioning Crèche facility on campus, as well as a Children's Park.
Amenities in Community Center
Swimming Pool, Gym, Table Tennis
With no surprise, pupils prefer to spend their time playing table tennis. In the middle of summer, an annual competition is set to take place.
HRI Food Fair
HRIRA hosts an annual food expo. Stalls of food and games are put up by members of the community. You can make/bake /fry/assemble any dish of your choice or come up with a design of a game. Additionally, there is a tiny book fair component.
Magazine ("Sharad Potro/শারদ পত্র")
HRI members publish a yearly magazine "Sharad Potro/শারদ পত্র" in digital and print editions, featuring their stories, poems, paintings, comics, and other creative works. There are no linguistic constraints. Please drop a mail at sharodpotro.hri@gmail.com
