Admission Process

The admission process has two stages: the national-level NBHM Scholarship Written Test, followed by a written test conducted by HRI.

  1. NBHM Scholarship Written Test

HRI uses the national-level NBHM Scholarship Written Test as a preliminary screening test. To apply for the HRI Mathematics M.Sc. programme, candidates must score above a cut-off determined by HRI.

The NBHM examination normally takes place during January.

  2. Written Test by HRI

    • Shortlisting based on NBHM results: A list of candidates who clear the NBHM test will be posted on the HRI website.
    • Shortlisted candidates may apply to the M.Sc. programme to be eligible for the written test conducted at HRI.
